The year round beauty of  Historic Stevensville draws visitors from all over the world, and artists come to take advantage of the area’s natural beauty.

Stevensville was founded in 1850 as a steamboat terminal. Today, the Stevensville Historic District contains roughly 100 historic structures dating back to the town's early days.

Like other artists of the area, M. Bannon opened her studio here in Historic Stevensville and many of her works include surrounding landmarks.  Recent efforts include an Art in the Park where hundreds of artists and craftsmen from the local area came to display their unique and original artwork.  M. Bannon is actively involved in arts community efforts, including  the goal of making Historic Stevensville an Arts District.
