Maureen's impressionistic oil paintings are contemporary, with an emphasis on light, loose brushwork. As a naturalist, themes include neighboring gardens, vacation retreats, historical homes, and wetlands and wildlife, as well as macroscipic views of the land. She reveals on canvas the importance of one's immediate environment through color impressions, evoking a timeless atmosphere of serenity...leaving the story to the viewer.
